Owls of Pennsylvania – Live Wildlife Program

October 17 @ 8:00 am - October 18 @ 5:00 pm

$10

Meet Pennsylvania’s Night Hunters

Have you ever wondered which owls live in Pennsylvania? How they hunt in complete darkness? Why they call at night? Or how to tell one species from another?

Join Red Creek Wildlife Center for an engaging and entertaining program that introduces you to the fascinating world of Pennsylvania’s native owls.

October 17th – 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
October 18th – 2:00 pm to 4 pm

This isn’t just a slideshow or lecture. Throughout the program you’ll meet several of our live owl ambassadors while learning about their unique adaptations, behaviors, habitats, diets, and the important role they play in our environment.

Whether you’ve always loved owls or are simply curious about these mysterious birds, this program offers a rare opportunity to see them up close while learning from one of Pennsylvania’s most experienced wildlife rehabilitators.

During this program you’ll learn:

🦉 Which owl species call Pennsylvania home

🦉 How owls can fly almost silently

🦉 The incredible hearing and eyesight that make them exceptional hunters

🦉 How each species differs in size, habitat, and behavior

🦉 Common myths and misconceptions about owls

🦉 How wildlife rehabilitation helps injured and orphaned owls return to the wild

And best of all…

Meet the Stars of the Program

You’ll have the opportunity to meet several of Red Creek’s live owl ambassadors and hear the stories that brought each one to the education center.

Every owl has a story.
