Or how to tell one species from another? \nJoin Red Creek Wildlife Center for an engaging and entertaining program that introduces you to the fascinating world of Pennsylvania’s native owls. \nOctober 17th – 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm\nOctober 18th – 2:00 pm to 4 pm \nThis isn’t just a slideshow or lecture. Throughout the program you’ll meet several of our live owl ambassadors while learning about their unique adaptations\, behaviors\, habitats\, diets\, and the important role they play in our environment. \nWhether you’ve always loved owls or are simply curious about these mysterious birds\, this program offers a rare opportunity to see them up close while learning from one of Pennsylvania’s most experienced wildlife rehabilitators. \nDuring this program you’ll learn:\n🦉 Which owl species call Pennsylvania home \n🦉 How owls can fly almost silently \n🦉 The incredible hearing and eyesight that make them exceptional hunters \n🦉 How each species differs in size\, habitat\, and behavior \n🦉 Common myths and misconceptions about owls \n🦉 How wildlife rehabilitation helps injured and orphaned owls return to the wild \nAnd best of all… \nMeet the Stars of the Program\nYou’ll have the opportunity to meet several of Red Creek’s live owl ambassadors and hear the stories that brought each one to the education center. \nEvery owl has a story. \n\nAdmission\n$10 per person \nSpace is limited\, and advance registration is required. \n(Two sessions are available. DESCRIPTION:Meet the Wild Side of Halloween!\nThings that go bump in the night. \nThings with too many legs. \nThings with no legs. \nThings your mother probably told you to stay away from. \nHalloween is full of creatures that make people shiver… but how many of those spooky stories are actually true? \nJoin wildlife rehabilitator Peggy Hentz for an evening of creepy critters\, strange facts\, unbelievable true stories\, and plenty of laughs as she introduces some of Pennsylvania’s spookiest animals. \nSaturday\, October 24th  –  5 pm to 7 pm \nSaturday\, October 31st  –  (Two programs)     2 pm to 4 pm  and  6 pm to 8 pm \nYou’ll meet several live animal ambassadors\, hear the truth behind the legends\, and probably discover that the scariest thing in the room… isn’t the animals. \nWhether you love creepy crawlies or prefer to admire them from a safe distance\, this program is guaranteed to entertain. \nCostumes are welcome. \nScreaming is optional. \n\nAdmission\n$10 per person \nSpace is limited. \nReserve your seat… before the creatures do. 👀 \nSign up HERE
