Land Contributions
A land contribution for the location of the new facility can be a tax-deductible gift or a long-term lease to Red Creek Wildlife Center, Inc. The location must meet the following requirements to be suitable for the Wildlife Rehabilitation services offered:
- Southern Schuylkill or northern Berks County Area
- Ten or more acres with buildings (residence, barns, outbuilding, etc.)
- Zoning that permits animal husbandry, residence and a business (Agricultural zoning often allows all of these).
- Public Access.
- A suburban or rural area where the presence of animals would not disturb the current residents. This type of location would also have less noise and traffic (disruptive to wild animal patient recovery) than urban areas.
